Freebase E-Liquids

Freebase e-liquid, the industry's pioneer, was crafted to replicate the throat hit akin to smoking, appreciated by many. Unlike the smoother nicotine salts, Freebase mimics the bite of traditional smoking, aiding those seeking to reduce nicotine intake. With a higher PG to VG ratio (often 50/50 or more), Freebase e-liquids historically preserve coils better. At Naja Vapes, we prioritize not only a diverse flavor selection but also insist on premium base quality and top-notch nicotine for a vaping experience that truly stands out.

E-Liquids & Nicotine Levels

Frequently Asked Questions

What is "Freebase" E-liquid?

These were the first type of E-Liquid on the market and are still very popular today. These tend to more PG dominant and provide more of a throat hit (similar to cigarettes) especially in the higher Nicotine Strengths. Many people like this bite as they feel like they are getting more impact from the e-liquid, others may find that the bite is uncomfortable or "scratchy" on the throat, if you experience this we'd recommend moving to Nicotine Salts which tend to be much smoother.

  • Freebase is normally available in 0MG, 3MG, 6MG, 12MG & 18MG. With 12 & 18MG carrying quite a strong bite level.
  • Normally refereed to as "50/50 E-Liquids", "Freebase" or "PG E-liquids"

What are "Nicotine Salts"?

Nicotine Salts is freebase nicotine mixed with an acid from the tobacco plant, when mixed with an acid it lowers the pH scale, resulting in a smoother and more quickly delivered hit compared to Freebase E-Liquids. These have been a huge breakthrough to help aid people to give up smoking as they have much less of a bite and increased satisfaction. Although Nicotine Salts can be used in higher output mods, most people tend to use them in POD based systems or Mouth to Lung based equipment.

  • Nicotine Salts are usually only available in 10 & 20MG
  • Normally refereed to as "Nic Salts", "Nicotine Salts" or "Salts"

What is "High VG" E-Liquid?

High VG E-Liquid or "Short-Fill" tend to have a higher VG to PG ratio, normally around 70/30% respectively. They tend to produce much more vapour and have less of a throat hit in comparison to Freebase E-Liquids. As Short-Fill is sold with no nicotine included in the bottle, this means they can be sold in a larger bottle (usually 50/100ml), this means you have to add your own nicotine in the form of Nicotine Shots. This results in you having more control of your nicotine level, however you are also more limited if you require a higher strength as the more Nicotine Shots you add, the more you dilute the flavour. Meaning you can only add roughly 6MG before you start altering the flavour. This is a great way to vape for people who have slowly made there way down in Nicotine Strength or for light smokers looking to ditch the habit.

What Nicotine Strength is right for me?

This can be a more difficult question to answer, as its not the same for each individual as variations of cigarettes such as Lights, Rollies or Strong cigarettes can provide different answers.

But as a general rule of thumb:

Freebase:

  • 1-5 Cigarettes per day - 3-6MG
  • 5-10 Cigarettes per day - 6-12MG
  • 10-20 Cigarettes per day - 12-18MG

Nicotine Salts:

Lower levels of smoking please refer to Freebase.

  • 5-10 Cigarettes per day - 10MG
  • 10-20+ Cigarettes per day - 20MG

High VG E-Liquid:

Normally for the established vaper or people with a PG intolerance.

  • 1-5 Cigarettes per day - 3-6MG

Please note if you're still a smoker and you're looking to stop, it's important that you make sure you have the right strength for you. We'd never recommend for someone who has a larger dependence on cigarettes go straight to a lower nicotine level e-liquid as you wouldn't be satisfied and risk turning back to smoking. We'd recommend starting at a higher level and working your way down.
